Level
I - Apprenticeship Teaching
Trainees will advance to an Apprenticeship Status once they have successfully
completed Module I. Trainees will begin their Apprenticeship by teaching
one another the 1st 2 weeks; continuing to work with fellow students, thier
primary emphasis will then shift to enrolling friends, family and acquaintences
for their student teaching. As their proficiency continues to develop,
students will enroll and teach an ever wider range of clients.
Apprenticeship teaching is performed without compensation;
clients taught by Apprentices, however, will pay a reduced fee.
A minimum of 125 credit hours of Practical Teaching
are required at the Apprentice Level, with Iat leastI 50% of these hours
logged with clients (as distiguished from fellow students) at the PCA or, in
the case of the out-of-area student, at their Affiliate Studio. (The actual
amount of time required to advance from Apprentice to Intern will vary from trainee
to trainee, and is determined by the Program Director, in accordance with her
Assessement of their acquired proficiency. In any case, credit will only
be assigned for a maximum of 100 credit hours in each category.)

and log a minimum of
75 solo sessions, at least 50% of which must be logged with clients ( asdistinguished
from fellow students) at the PCA or, in the case of the out-of-area student,

by submitting their request in writing to the Program Director. |
